Re: Chrysler Profits Up Thanks to New Models

Chrysler has always designed stylish, pratical and efficient vehicles. We (I speak for Chrysler b/c I am an employee of Chrysler) have had our issues in the past with the famed A-604 ultradrive transmission, the 2.7 engine problems, and other problems. But over the last 3 years, the quality of our vehicles has gotten better dramatically and because of better quality and better dependability, people are attracted to that, in addition to the attractive styling. With the employee pricing going on between the big 3, GM really helped themselves get out of the toilet, but Chrysler had sales that matched GMs. As annoying as those Lee Iacocoa commercials are, Chrysler's quality, new products and reliability have helped them dramatically.

With all the incentives and rock bottom pricing, where are all of these profits coming from? Something doesn't seem right about making more money when your selling your product for less. However, maybe I'm missing something here!

Thumbs up

There's never been a better time to buy North American. PS- Ford does a tremendously good job with their foreign divisions (Aston Martin, Jaguar, Land Rover, Volvo (sort of) you get the picture...)
