Romik505 08-28-2011, 12:40 PM Hi guys ! I started a new project for the production of transkit . This will be set to convert the Ferrari 328 GTB \ GTS Hasegawa in the sports version of the Ferrari 308 rally . Hasegawa set includes a lot of parts for chassis and engine. That is why I chose it as a donor. I added a few new parts for the rear power of the framework. http://romik505.users.photofile.ru/photo/romik505/96598152/xlarge/124407883.jpg http://romik505.users.photofile.ru/photo/romik505/96598152/xlarge/124407923.jpg http://romik505.users.photofile.ru/photo/romik505/96598152/xlarge/124408041.jpg To change the body, I took an old set Revell 308 Magnum. I did not use body Revell entirely, because he did not correct very low roof. I took only the back and top of the front. http://romik505.users.photofile.ru/photo/romik505/96598152/xlarge/124407934.jpg http://romik505.users.photofile.ru/photo/romik505/96598152/xlarge/124407949.jpg http://romik505.users.photofile.ru/photo/romik505/96598152/xlarge/124407962.jpg http://romik505.users.photofile.ru/photo/romik505/96598152/xlarge/124407970.jpg For the back cover I picked up the lattice from 308 Monogram. Monogram body has a very good view. But it differs in size from Hasegawa. And my first thought is to use the whole body was not successful. http://romik505.users.photofile.ru/photo/romik505/96598152/xlarge/124472797.jpg http://romik505.users.photofile.ru/photo/romik505/96598152/xlarge/124472876.jpg For the front bumper, I used parts from Revell Monogram and. The front grille of the Monogram, but the holes are made in full.Bumper will be a separate item. It is easier to assemble and manufacture. http://romik505.users.photofile.ru/photo/romik505/96598152/xlarge/125060417.jpg I had a set with a body targa and I had to make a new framework for the rear windows. I plan to have a complete new rear glass. So you can use any set of 328 Hasegawa. http://romik505.users.photofile.ru/photo/romik505/96598152/xlarge/125060441.jpg I'll be very glad to your comments. alviga69 08-28-2011, 12:44 PM it looks like it is going to be a very interesting WIP rallymaster 08-28-2011, 12:49 PM Wow !! another one very expectable transkit to come !! Which Gr. 4 version do you plan to release ? the '82 TdC pioneer sponsored car ? I also work in my conversion but I 'm sure it will not be as great as yours http://s2.postimage.org/mfwic45g7/WIP_Ferrari308_GTB_Rally_068.jpg I 'm interest to buy this transskit for sure, to make an engine version... Count me when its ready. Also I want to say a public big "THANKS" for your help to find a decal set and for your decals, you send to me... Good luck until the end with this great project... PJE48 08-29-2011, 11:38 AM I've been putting together my Group 4 project using a "TILT" Ferrari 308 and a Hasagawa Stratos. I haven't figured out the roll cage or all the interior. Good luck with your project. I will be following with a lot of interest. Paul Erlendson DerXL 08-30-2011, 02:43 PM Great to see you tackle another "kitbash" project. I'm afraid it's not a very interesting subject for me personally. But i love to watch your great work, so I'll be following this build closely. eyckles 08-31-2011, 04:31 PM Yep, glad to see that you are doing the 308. You already made a great start chopping the body's of different models. Would love to see it in the Pioneer livery. Keep up the good work. Lesley Matwej 09-01-2011, 02:37 PM Много счастье за работой по этому проекту.:smokin: Я уже прошел через эту работу .:p здесь: http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=1065372 Мои документы для моделирования : http://www.gamefront.com/files/20735156/Ferrari_308GTB_rar Good luck in this project. I got it already had. No. Gr.4, but a simple version rally Gr.B/2000 . The model Monogram/Revel is very old, you're in a lot of work ..... :runaround: I will from the chair closely monitor. So: http://i13.photobucket.com/albums/a261/Mathaus/DSCN2504.jpg Romik505 09-03-2011, 08:32 AM Hello ! Thank you for your interest. I did a little new. I increased the thickness of the body from the inside. It was a long and not interesting. http://romik505.users.photofile.ru/photo/romik505/96598152/xlarge/125060495.jpg The lower part will be new in the set. Suspension parts are standard from Hasegawa. http://romik505.users.photofile.ru/photo/romik505/96598152/xlarge/125367503.jpg I tried the body with the front wheels from Lancia. I was afraid that it will be very wide, but the wheels have come good. http://romik505.users.photofile.ru/photo/romik505/96598152/xlarge/125367472.jpg http://romik505.users.photofile.ru/photo/romik505/96598152/xlarge/125367482.jpg http://romik505.users.photofile.ru/photo/romik505/96598152/xlarge/125367490.jpg The kit will have two versions of the headlights. Open and closed. And of course be additional lights. I do not know how they sound in English. Russian rally-fans call them "chandelier". Livery is just blue with a red Pioneer. It might be the second option blue livery Pioneer. Matwej , спасибо вам за информацию, очень интересно для меня. I saw your Ferrari for a rally. I've been thinking about the model 308, but your was the impetus for beginning the project. eyckles 09-03-2011, 10:02 AM Hi Roman, As always you do a great job modifying the body to it's correct shape. Will follow this WIP very close. Certainly will order one. I'm planning two sets with different livery :smile: Thanks Naray !I saw this site. I was shocked by these Finnish guys! Some new parts in the engine room. Production of these parts is time consuming and the process is slower than I want. http://romik505.users.photofile.ru/photo/romik505/96598152/xlarge/125873616.jpg http://romik505.users.photofile.ru/photo/romik505/96598152/xlarge/125873605.jpg http://romik505.users.photofile.ru/photo/romik505/96598152/xlarge/125873604.jpg http://romik505.users.photofile.ru/photo/romik505/96598152/xlarge/125873599.jpg http://romik505.users.photofile.ru/photo/romik505/96598152/xlarge/125873597.jpg F1Tommy 10-12-2011, 11:06 AM Looks very nice. Engine detail will help sell the kits. I already have a Big Model kit of the Pozzi car along with the Tilt kit from Japan. The Tilt kit is of a group 4 car with different flares as raced at Daytona and Sebring in 1977 or 1978 if I remember correctly. It is the best plastic kit of a 308 to date. Tom Tanner/Scale Designs/Ferrari Expo 2012-Chicago March 2012 Romik505 10-16-2011, 04:45 AM Hi. I need your help. I made a roll cage. But I'm not sure that everything is correct. I see different cars on different configurations of pipes. I think that the two pipes are replicas of Ferrari. But I have thought to leave the two pipes. Cut off the excess will not be difficult. I think it should solve every builder himself. What do you think? http://romik505.users.photofile.ru/photo/romik505/96598152/xlarge/125934608.jpg http://romik505.users.photofile.ru/photo/romik505/96598152/xlarge/125934647.jpg http://romik505.users.photofile.ru/photo/romik505/96598152/xlarge/125934676.jpg http://romik505.users.photofile.ru/photo/romik505/96598152/xlarge/125929798.jpg http://romik505.users.photofile.ru/photo/romik505/96598152/xlarge/125929799.jpg http://romik505.users.photofile.ru/photo/romik505/96598152/xlarge/125929800.jpg http://romik505.users.photofile.ru/photo/romik505/96598152/xlarge/125929797.jpg And the second question: I started to think about the decals for this version of the livery. http://romik505.users.photofile.ru/photo/romik505/96598152/xlarge/125929793.jpg I can make a blue decals, but some of them will be very difficult when applied. If you do only part of the blue decals, there may be differences in color. I think maybe to paint the body in two colors using a mask. What do you think? ales 10-16-2011, 05:37 AM Roman, First of all, I'm extremely happy to see this progress, it looks fantastic. Now to your questions - I agree that two pipes is a good idea as removing one is somewhat easier than adding one. As for the blue areas, why not have both options - include both the decals and the painting (colour code and mask?) instructions and then the builder will be able to decide which way to choose or maybe to go with a combination of paint and decals. eyckles 10-16-2011, 09:39 AM Roman, First of all, I'm extremely happy to see this progress, it looks fantastic. I have to agree with Ales on the roll bars and i think a combination of paint and decals would be the best option or make blue car with white Pioneer livery witch i prefer. Lesley rallymaster 10-16-2011, 10:47 AM Hi Roman, I'm 99% sure there wasn't 2 diagonal bars on the works Ferrari 308... But also sure the bar starts from the corner of the main central part, not from the side vertical one as you did on your rollcage, and it's visible on the burnt 308 pic. If you release the pioneer version no need to put additional bars to me, belonging to each of us to work and modify the rollcage if needed to get eventual privates cars. Concerning the paint, I'm not for a decal/paint combo solution, half of a thing + half of another one never did an entire thing... I would better appreciate a good masking plan with templates to get a full painted body. If decal and paint dont perfectly match (and it -almost- never does... ) that may be visible as the noze in the middle of the face. I'm for painting. ;) oter 10-16-2011, 11:06 AM Romik505 10-16-2011, 01:28 PM Thank you guys. Your advice is really helping me. Phil, you're absolutely right about the top of the pipe. I have changed this part. With the decals blue, I see two problems: I'm not sure what will happen carefully put on the engine cover and front bumper. And yet, perhaps a little transparency is blue with a red body. And I also agree with Phil, the combination will not be good. I will try to make a model decals for bumper and covers engine. Maybe it's not as difficult as it seems . spede 10-17-2011, 01:53 PM spamsac 10-17-2011, 04:44 PM Love this car, and love this build. Keep it up, Simon Matwej 10-22-2011, 04:29 AM Late, but still. :runaround: The frame: It depends on which Group it is. Gr.2 and Gr.4 has only one tube at an angle. Two tubes in the cross of St. Andrew (Flag of the Russia navy fleet  ) the car is under new regulations . Regulations changed in 1985/86 . No horizontal pipe there.:nono: http://www.specialstage.com/forums/showthread.php?40336-The-Original-Rally-Supercars To decals and color variants: Color masks and just deal with advertising decals. Pioneer's version is very well known. More interesting is the car from rallye Hunsrück 1982, Jean Claude Andruet the driver . http://www.forum-auto.com/sport-auto/histoire-du-sport-auto/sujet378308-210.htm (bottom of the page) http://www.forum-auto.com/sport-auto/histoire-du-sport-auto/sujet378308-105.htm (bottom of the page) http://www.rallylife.cz/ferrari-v-rally-historie-1-dil-1296552323 The building you're doing very well. Joy to watch. Good luck to the next procedure. Romik505 10-27-2011, 07:14 AM Hello ! Matwej , Thank you for the useful information. Yesterday, I started doing last big test assembly, because almost all new parts for transkit made. In the process I've done all the parts of the fasteners for easy and accurate assembly model. Spare tire will certainly be correct. This is just for size. And there are other tires without tread . I finished the night, and it's a few photos of the process and the finished car. http://romik505.users.photofile.ru/photo/romik505/96598152/xlarge/126060773.jpg http://romik505.users.photofile.ru/photo/romik505/96598152/xlarge/126060774.jpg http://romik505.users.photofile.ru/photo/romik505/96598152/xlarge/126060780.jpg http://romik505.users.photofile.ru/photo/romik505/96598152/xlarge/126060785.jpg http://romik505.users.photofile.ru/photo/romik505/96598152/xlarge/126060786.jpg http://romik505.users.photofile.ru/photo/romik505/96598152/xlarge/126064682.jpg http://romik505.users.photofile.ru/photo/romik505/96598152/xlarge/126064686.jpg http://romik505.users.photofile.ru/photo/romik505/96598152/xlarge/126064687.jpg http://romik505.users.photofile.ru/photo/romik505/96598152/xlarge/126064688.jpg http://romik505.users.photofile.ru/photo/romik505/96598152/xlarge/126064689.jpg http://romik505.users.photofile.ru/photo/romik505/96598152/xlarge/126064697.jpg http://romik505.users.photofile.ru/photo/romik505/96598152/xlarge/126064695.jpg http://romik505.users.photofile.ru/photo/romik505/96598152/xlarge/126064694.jpg http://romik505.users.photofile.ru/photo/romik505/96598152/xlarge/126064693.jpg http://romik505.users.photofile.ru/photo/romik505/96598152/xlarge/126064691.jpg http://romik505.users.photofile.ru/photo/romik505/96598152/xlarge/126064690.jpg I'll start doing layouts for photo-etching parts and finished parts for molding. Lesley rallymaster 10-27-2011, 02:03 PM Waow, another excellent work on a high standard expected transkit !! I would suggest, but it may be due to the test fit, to make extra lights have a straighter sight, they look too much to the ground to me... ;) Romik505 10-27-2011, 03:10 PM Thank you Phil .
