If the airbag light is on you should take it to a dealer or someone who can scan the airbag codes. Usually there is a problem with the system if the light is on and the airbag may not work properly if you get in a crash. Have it checked as soon as possible.

I agree...only a garage with a scan tool capable of reading codes, and knowledge of SIR systems can fix this...

Common problem the airbag sensor in the front bumper usually fails. If that doesn't work replacing air bag sensor take it to the shop to get it looked at.
