Really nice work. Are you going to change the sheen on the monocoque? It seems too glossy. I loved how Jaykay did the sheen on his Jordan 191 with sanding, would look very nice on this as well.

Great clean work, keep it up!

In for more updates!
I've always wanted to build F1 cars, but I'm just now starting to look into them.
I'm fond of Tamiya kits, how would you compare the Fujimi to Tamiya? As far as level of detail out of the box and ease of assembly?

Your building skills are definitely there. Nice, clean job.

However, the cf pattern on the '80s and '90s McLarens did *not* have a discernible "weave" pattern on the tub. It was more like a "scratch" and had a very odd color to it because the cf was put on "inside out" or "backwards" (whichever way you want to think about it) relative to what most teams did. If you look closely at pics of the car, you'll see what I mean. I did this car last year, so I understand what you're doing. Just trying to help.

The problem is when you try to close the engine bay with the cowling...a very disapoiting gap apears and it does not fits well... :( and there is another one too... in the front suspensions the ride height is taller than the rear one...so be carefull. Mine is now being unpainted due to some troubles it had. And I´m using yours as a guide, it looks so good!!!

Yes you are right...in time lo building i seen that the front suspensions give problems to let fit the monocoque...did you see my Mp4/6 complet works? maybe can you get any new idea there, there are more pictures than here.
Thanks very much, i wish can you get a solution on this problem.

I had the same problem, the cowling rubs/touches the monocoque around the driver area, so you need to used a blade and thin the cowling from the inside. Alot of hard work

And doing that fixes it ? I mean after doing this job, the cowling finally fits in his correct position ?
