The wheater is very bored in the Netherlands right now, so I was thinking about building a cabrio model :) I picked up the Tamiya Honda S2000 out of my pile.

The original wheels looks good, but I need to replace them anyway :D I think these rare Gartmaier SSR wheels look perfect.

I primered the body and painted it in yellow. But something happened and the paintjob was horrible.... I put the model in brakefluid for a few days to strip the paint.

After some new putty and sanding I could primer it again.

http://www.modelbrouwers.nl/albums/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/primer_%28Custom%29.JPG

And today I painted the body in yellow. The paint is a 2 part paint, so I sprayed a basecoat first and then some pearl yellow.

Yesterday I polished the body. Today I masked the body to paint the black body parts and windows.

I planned to do nothing on them. I scribed the panellines out to make them a bit deeper and I think they are good now. No need for a wash I think.

It can ruin your model if you do wrong was on the panellines.

:iagree:

Although light grey panel lines on light colors works good also.

Last week I did some work on the interior. First I painted the interior black and added some interiorflocking. It looks a bit rough but the macro makes it even worse.

I also painted the dash black.

http://www.modelbrouwers.nl/albums/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/interieur_28329_28Custom29.JPG

The doorpanels and seats were painted Tamiya flat yellow. Then they were masked and I painted them black. After all I added some extra flat clear.

http://www.modelbrouwers.nl/albums/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/interieur_281129_28Custom29.JPG

The rearside of the interior will be covered with a cabrio thing so the interiorflocking won't be seen..... :D I also forgot to add the small window between the headrests. It's there now, but not on the pictures.

Now I can focus on the chassis.

Last week I spent some time to finish the chassis. I tried to lower it but there isn't much space to fitt the wheels. So instead of a maximum lowered s2k it's now a subtile lowered s2k :) The exhaust was painted with some metalizers. After all the chassis is wheatered a bit.

http://www.modelbrouwers.nl/albums/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/chassis_28429_28Custom29.JPG

And I finisehd the body also. I added the side mirrors and antenna with some copperwire for extra hold. The headlights and rearlights were painted and I added the glasses. Now I could glue the windows in place.

Today I finished the model, so I hope to make the completed photos soon.
