Honda S2000iceracer1 01-03-2012, 02:57 PM The wheater is very bored in the Netherlands right now, so I was thinking about building a cabrio model :) I picked up the Tamiya Honda S2000 out of my pile. http://www.modelbrouwers.nl/albums/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/inhoud_%281%29_%28Custom%29~13.JPG The inside is pretty nice :) http://www.modelbrouwers.nl/albums/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/inhoud_%282%29_%28Custom%29~12.JPG http://www.modelbrouwers.nl/albums/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/inhoud_%283%29_%28Custom%29~12.JPG http://www.modelbrouwers.nl/albums/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/inhoud_%284%29_%28Custom%29~11.JPG http://www.modelbrouwers.nl/albums/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/inhoud_%285%29_%28Custom%29~11.JPG The original wheels looks good, but I need to replace them anyway :D I think these rare Gartmaier SSR wheels look perfect. http://www.modelbrouwers.nl/albums/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/inhoud_%286%29_%28Custom%29~11.JPG http://www.modelbrouwers.nl/albums/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/inhoud_%287%29_%28Custom%29~11.JPG http://www.modelbrouwers.nl/albums/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/inhoud_%288%29_%28Custom%29~9.JPG The color would be Pearl Honda by Honda. http://www.modelbrouwers.nl/albums/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/inhoud_%289%29_%28Custom%29~7.JPG Kris. iceracer1 02-09-2012, 11:22 AM I primered the body and painted it in yellow. But something happened and the paintjob was horrible.... I put the model in brakefluid for a few days to strip the paint. After some new putty and sanding I could primer it again. http://www.modelbrouwers.nl/albums/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/primer_%28Custom%29.JPG And today I painted the body in yellow. The paint is a 2 part paint, so I sprayed a basecoat first and then some pearl yellow. http://www.modelbrouwers.nl/albums/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/kleur_%281%29_%28Custom%29~1.JPG http://www.modelbrouwers.nl/albums/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/kleur_%282%29_%28Custom%29~1.JPG http://www.modelbrouwers.nl/albums/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/kleur_%283%29_%28Custom%29~1.JPG http://www.modelbrouwers.nl/albums/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/kleur_%284%29_%28Custom%29~1.JPG http://www.modelbrouwers.nl/albums/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/kleur_%285%29_%28Custom%29~0.JPG http://www.modelbrouwers.nl/albums/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/kleur_%286%29_%28Custom%29~0.JPG I hope to clearcoat it next week. Today I masked the body to paint the black body parts and windows. http://www.modelbrouwers.nl/albums/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/polish_%2B_ramen_%281%29_%28Custom%29.JPG http://www.modelbrouwers.nl/albums/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/polish_%2B_ramen_%282%29_%28Custom%29.JPG http://www.modelbrouwers.nl/albums/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/polish_%2B_ramen_%283%29_%28Custom%29.JPG http://www.modelbrouwers.nl/albums/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/polish_%2B_ramen_%284%29_%28Custom%29.JPG http://www.modelbrouwers.nl/albums/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/polish_%2B_ramen_%285%29_%28Custom%29~0.JPG http://www.modelbrouwers.nl/albums/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/polish_%2B_ramen_%286%29_%28Custom%29~0.JPG http://www.modelbrouwers.nl/albums/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/polish_%2B_ramen_%287%29_%28Custom%29.JPG Kris. da_ashman 02-22-2012, 05:21 PM Man I LOVE that colour with the clearcoat! & I like what youve done with the wheels! crisjr 02-23-2012, 03:45 AM Great job Kris!!.. loved!!.. i'm working on a yellow LFA and i've heard some discussion regarding to the panel lines.. do.. not do.. black line.. brown lines.. gray lines... what will you do?? or.. will not? iceracer1 02-23-2012, 05:31 AM Great job Kris!!.. loved!!.. i'm working on a yellow LFA and i've heard some discussion regarding to the panel lines.. do.. not do.. black line.. brown lines.. gray lines... what will you do?? or.. will not? I planned to do nothing on them. I scribed the panellines out to make them a bit deeper and I think they are good now. No need for a wash I think. It can ruin your model if you do wrong was on the panellines. Kris. MidMazar 02-24-2012, 12:37 PM I scribed the panellines out to make them a bit deeper and I think they are good now. No need for a wash I think. :iagree: Although light grey panel lines on light colors works good also. corvettekid_7684 02-24-2012, 01:54 PM I think they look great as is iceracer1 03-04-2012, 07:38 AM Last week I did some work on the interior. First I painted the interior black and added some interiorflocking. It looks a bit rough but the macro makes it even worse. I also painted the dash black. http://www.modelbrouwers.nl/albums/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/interieur_28229_28Custom29.JPG http://www.modelbrouwers.nl/albums/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/interieur_28329_28Custom29.JPG The doorpanels and seats were painted Tamiya flat yellow. Then they were masked and I painted them black. After all I added some extra flat clear. http://www.modelbrouwers.nl/albums/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/interieur_28429_28Custom29.JPG http://www.modelbrouwers.nl/albums/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/interieur_28529_28Custom29.JPG http://www.modelbrouwers.nl/albums/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/interieur_28629_28Custom29.JPG http://www.modelbrouwers.nl/albums/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/interieur_28729_28Custom29.JPG http://www.modelbrouwers.nl/albums/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/interieur_28829_28Custom29.JPG http://www.modelbrouwers.nl/albums/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/interieur_281029_28Custom29.JPG http://www.modelbrouwers.nl/albums/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/interieur_281129_28Custom29.JPG The rearside of the interior will be covered with a cabrio thing so the interiorflocking won't be seen..... :D I also forgot to add the small window between the headrests. It's there now, but not on the pictures. Now I can focus on the chassis. Kris. nugundam93 03-04-2012, 08:48 AM love the color scheme! iceracer1 03-11-2012, 01:40 PM Last week I spent some time to finish the chassis. I tried to lower it but there isn't much space to fitt the wheels. So instead of a maximum lowered s2k it's now a subtile lowered s2k :) The exhaust was painted with some metalizers. After all the chassis is wheatered a bit. http://www.modelbrouwers.nl/albums/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/chassis_28129_28Custom29.JPG http://www.modelbrouwers.nl/albums/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/chassis_28229_28Custom29.JPG http://www.modelbrouwers.nl/albums/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/chassis_28329_28Custom29.JPG http://www.modelbrouwers.nl/albums/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/chassis_28429_28Custom29.JPG And I finisehd the body also. I added the side mirrors and antenna with some copperwire for extra hold. The headlights and rearlights were painted and I added the glasses. Now I could glue the windows in place. http://www.modelbrouwers.nl/albums/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/body_af_28129_28Custom29.JPG http://www.modelbrouwers.nl/albums/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/body_af_28229_28Custom29.JPG http://www.modelbrouwers.nl/albums/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/body_af_28329_28Custom29.JPG http://www.modelbrouwers.nl/albums/coppermine/albums/userpics/10027/body_af_28429_28Custom29.JPG Today I finished the model, so I hope to make the completed photos soon.
