installed new indash cd/dvd player and now i have a buzzin noiseTalon69 02-19-2012, 02:18 PM i have a 2003 grand am gt i recently just bought and recently just took the stock radio out and installed my indash cd/dvd player in, but now i have a little buzzin noise!! i think it is alternator noise coming through the stereo? the buzzin goes up and down when i give it gas. I have installed tons of systems over the years and NEVER not once have i had to deal with something like this! I have not even installed my amp yet!! this is going to be a serious issue if i cannot get this fixed!! its not a loud buzz, just loud enough where you can here it tho any advise would be great Thank you TheCarNoob 02-19-2012, 04:02 PM i have a 2003 grand am gt i recently just bought and recently just took the stock radio out and installed my indash cd/dvd player in, but now i have a little buzzin noise!! i think it is alternator noise coming through the stereo? the buzzin goes up and down when i give it gas. Also there is a good possibility it's not grounded well... Talon69 02-19-2012, 05:13 PM i think i am gonna unhook the ground from the radio that connects to the chime and ground the radio to the chassis and see what happens TeamoDave 02-19-2012, 08:08 PM i have a 2003 grand am gt i recently just bought and recently just took the stock radio out and installed my indash cd/dvd player in, but now i have a little buzzin noise!! i think it is alternator noise coming through the stereo? the buzzin goes up and down when i give it gas. If direct to the chassis doesn't help, I would try the stereo in another vehicle (if it's possible) to see if it's something not grounded well in the deck itself. Good luck. thephantom1492 02-20-2012, 10:11 PM DO ground to the frame. Can very well be THE issue. Beside, you'll gain half a volt or more. Stock ground points are known to be really bad. Talon69 02-21-2012, 08:09 PM just updating you all, i have not been able to get this done yet as i have been working crazy hours and buy the time its to dark and to damn cold.
