I recently purchased a 2011 Acadia SLT-2 AWD with 10K miles. I now have about 22K miles. Recently, on two separate occasions, I noticed a burnt rubber smell coming from the front passenger side of the vehicle. It didn't last long, and I have driven it a few times since the last occurrence and haven't smelled it again.

Has anyone else experience this? I am afraid that if I take it to the dealer and they don't smell it, they won't be able to identify the problem.

You need to take it to the dealer and at the very least get your concern documented. There is a problem with the front (timing) cover leaking oil on some of those, that may be what you are smelling. If not, at least you have the complaint on file.
