Had a cassette player in the dash. The only mod is a factory CD player from ebay and a couple of Sony speakers in the back. It's been trouble free, 63K miles. I love it. If I was to buy again, though, I might get the G8 GXP.http://i486.photobucket.com/albums/rr230/rkvons/GTP_FR.jpg 01bluerodeo 01-21-2009, 08:33 AM Just bouhgt a 2005 GT2 with 76,188 miles on it. Tony BNaylor 03-06-2009, 07:39 PM No one else? I thought we would have more members come out of the woodwork. :dunno: jrmy1krn 03-10-2009, 11:24 AM 1998 GTP 210,000 miles on OG motor and trans. Wrecked 6 times. 5 times hit in the front 1 time in the rear. Motor runs ok but idles rough. Has a mix of dexcool and green anti freeze. Rear strut towers are rotting out, light and water gets thru theese days. The ground effects are held on by and mixture of tape and glue. This winter the rust really started to come out. I have driven thi car to hell and back and drove it hard the entire way. I am curently looking to buy another W body grand prix GTP. Hopefully from the south and with lower miles. Bottom line is theese might be the best and coolest GM car to come out of the 90's. rogeiro 03-10-2009, 12:01 PM 28k miles, 2004 Fiat panda. BNaylor 06-10-2009, 06:04 PM Nice new toy Bob, how do you like it so far? Thanks Rich. Better than I expected considering I really did not like the '04 and up generation models. Got it for a steal price wise. It has all the beeps & bells. The 5.3L V8 engine is smooth and surprising on power plus it has the TapShift shifter system and even a HUD and sunroof. :grinyes: CL8 06-10-2009, 07:26 PM '99 Dodge Caravan 118,030 2003 Toyota Echo 155,078 VR43000GT 06-11-2009, 03:39 AM Thanks Rich. Either way, nice car Bob. I have to agree with you, I like the previous gen a bit better but they are still nice looking cars. I have always wondered how thos 5.3L GP's were as far as the performance department is concerned. Compared to a GTP, how would you rate it? BNaylor 06-13-2009, 05:49 PM Can I demand a race between the GXP and the GTP? Either way, nice car Bob. Compared to a GTP, how would you rate it? Hey Alex. No need to demand and no contest!!!. :grinno:..... The GTP is much faster due to the mods. I'm using the GXP as a daily driver. My wife inherited my L67 Regal GS. :crying: GM did a great job with the GXP. It even has the FE4 suspension system which means Bilstein struts stock. Monsoon 9 speaker sound system and the driver information center (DIC) has so many features and data I can't keep up with it. The 5.3L V8 is very smooth. I am limited on available bolt on mods with the GXP so I may keep it stock. :dunno: doublea70 06-15-2009, 06:36 PM 184K 98 Grand Prix GT No mods but runs like a champ to this day. Still beats my buddy's jeep in races haha. Automotive Articles .com, Copyright ©2012
